Prone Specific Spinal Adjusting
Prone specific is a gentle hands-on technique that is pleasant and comfortable to the patient. There is no uncomfortable twisting. This approach moves only the vertebrae that need to be moved, not all the vertebrae in the spinal region. Patients new to chiropractic and life-long chiropractic patients love the results obtained with prone specific technique.
Dr. Meier has been trained in many chiropractic techniques. The technique that she has found to get the best results is prone specific. This revolutionary technique is the latest in the industry and is very popular among patients that don’t want the traditional twisting and torquing of side posture or rotary cervical techniques of the past.
Dr. Meier is Advanced Proficiency rated in Activator Methods® training. She uses the Activator primarily on patients that have advanced fragility such as osteoporosis of the bones, or on patients with specific extremity complaints. The Activator allows Dr. Meier to specifically find exactly what is wrong and adjust the patient accordingly allow the bodies innate immune system to restore health and wellness.
The term “acupuncture” describes a family of procedures involving the stimulation of points on the body using a variety of techniques. The acupuncture technique that has been most often studied scientifically involves penetrating the skin with thin, solid, metallic needles that are manipulated by the hands or by electrical stimulation. Practiced in China and other Asian countries for thousands of years, acupuncture is one of the key components of traditional Chinese medicine.
Dr. Meier primarily uses electrical stimulation or pressure point stimulation to treat the vast majority of patients. Dr Meier studied acupuncture under the direction of training of Dr. Yenni, the man that brought acupuncture to America and fought to make it a legal modality of therapy. Dr. Yenni’s approach to treatment was that the point is stimulated in a billionth of a second, thus the use of electrical acupuncture stimulation. Per Dr. Yenni, only very difficult cases require actual needle insertion for treatment.
VOM Animal Adjusting
Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM) is a healing technology that locates areas of the animal’s nervous system that have fallen out of communication. It is a very specific technique done with an instrument that cannot hurt the animal. The technique re-establishes neuronal communication and thus induces healing. VOM is singularly the most simple, effective and safe healing modality in animal chiropractic care to date. For the VOM practitioner it is an exquisitely objective, fast and easy to apply technology. The scope of application has yet to be fully appreciated. Currently helping one animal at a time.
